With nearly 15 years of experience in building and protecting reputations, Courtney Urban is senior vice president of corporate reputation and brand purpose at WE Communications. She leads the agency’s CRBP practices and continues to advise clients on communications strategy and execution.
Courtney is passionate about working with brands to build, elevate and articulate their sustainability and social impact activities, as well as supporting executives to enhance their visibility and help them mitigate and manage risk to their business. Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, she has partnered with clients to develop meaningful and authentic communications plans to maintain and strengthen employee and consumer trust.
A seasoned communications professional, Courtney has diverse experience across a range of industries, including consumer packaged goods, food and beverage, health care, insurance, nonprofit, retail and technology. Prior to joining her first communications agency in 2011, Courtney worked for an Illinois state representative, managing his legislative agenda, constituent communications, and handling media relations for his office. She also worked as a copywriter for a health care advertising agency at the start of her career.
Courtney earned her bachelor’s degree in communication arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She resides in the Chicago suburbs.
