Co-Founder, Hopscotch, UK
As co-founder and director at Hopscotch, Julie Noble’s multifaceted role spans across human resources, culture, operations and business growth. Julie is involved in shaping the culture of Hopscotch, championing diversity, equity and inclusion, acting as an ambassador for business growth, and supporting client development. An accomplished leader, she also mentors Hopscotch’s senior management team.
With more than 30 years in marketing, Julie has garnered a wealth of experience within PR, marketing and teaching. After originally working as a teacher in New York, Julie returned to the UK to begin her career in PR. She joined a small agency and focused on education clients, developing her specialty in media relations and corporate brand and reputation. She took this experience to Marks & Spencer, where she became head of production for its customer magazine, ultimately spending a decade there working across roles within marketing and retail. She later returned to education marketing agency life as a client service director, where she was responsible for significant revenue growth, before starting Hopscotch with Sam Mercer in 2010.
Over her years in the industry, Julie has built long-standing client relationships and led award-winning work, including a partnership with Youth Sport Trust to deliver a National School Sports Week in the UK in 2008 in the run up to the London 2012 Olympic Games, as well as the Barclays LifeSkills account, started in 2012 and still going strong today.
Julie loves taking long walks with her dog that she adopted from Cyprus as a stray and cultivating her green thumb in the glorious gardens on her doorstep. As a volunteer, she helps at her local food bank, supporting families living in poverty. Julie is a recent convert to reformer Pilates and enjoys making the most of London’s renowned theatre scene by catching the latest productions.
