As executive vice president, consumer, Marisa focuses on driving business success for her clients and fostering the incredible talent of the members of her team. She also plays a central role in servicing new clients in partnership with the North American sector presidents, as well as her global counterparts around the world. Marisa has been instrumental in transforming WE’s presence in New York. Under her leadership, WE’s client roster in New York has expanded to include brands such as McDonald’s, Rover, Brother and iRobot, and the New York team has grown by 39%.
Marisa's background spans public relations and marketing across the technology, food and beverage, retail, and CPG categories. She's driven integrated consumer campaigns, executive thought leadership, product launches and cross-channel storytelling for some of the world’s most valuable brands, winning some industry awards along the way. Perhaps one of the biggest career highlights, however, was securing the first-ever Microsoft Surface placement on Oprah’s 2012 Favorite Things List, and an on-air integration with the newly revived Favorite Things show on OWN. And yes, she met her shero Oprah as a result. As a 2019 PR Week 40 Under 40 honoree and a 2020 PR Week Hall of Femme Woman to Watch, Marisa is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of PR leaders. She's particularly passionate about placing more women in leadership roles across industries and is an active member of Chief, the private network focused on connecting and supporting the rising women leaders making decisions today and influencing change tomorrow.
Marisa is a travel fiend, always in pursuit of collecting more stamps in her passport, and particularly focused on finding the perfect beach. Not one to shy away from a fast-paced challenge, Marisa can be found earning splat points at Orangetheory Fitness, taking in the latest Broadway shows, and spending time with friends, family and her rescue pup Sophie.
